Yes, you heard that right. Pushkar Fair is the biggest camel fair in the world having the presence of over 50,000 camels and close to 200,000 global travellers. It lasts for as long as 10 days and competitions like moustache competition, camel race, the tug of war etc. are organised where visitors compete against locals to win the game.

Pushkar has got a quite interesting connection with Lord Brahma. According to locals, Brahma dropped a lotus flower in a lake and that’s how the city of Pushkar came to existence. The city has got a very religious importance for Hindus as no Hindu pilgrimage is considered complete until you take a Holy Dip in Pushkar Lake.
